Words have always been my passion. I grew up in rural Texas, reading everything I could get my hands on, and somewhere along the way, I realized I had a knack for catching those sneaky little grammar slips most people overlook. Now, I use that eye for detail and a lifelong love of language to help others bring clarity and polish to their writing.
I live in California now with my husband and our two energetic toddlers, who certainly keep life interesting...and very loud! These crazy kids have taught me to find the calm among the chaos, to prioritize under pressure, and to take pride in the “smallest” of accomplishments, like when my two-year-old colors within the lines for the very first time.
Before marriage and kids, I spent years traveling the world, discovering new places, cultures, and perspectives. I bring that same openness and adaptability to the work I do with words. In the years since, I have survived brain cancer and come out stronger for it—stronger in body, stronger in mind, and stronger in the drive to make every day count. This hectic whirlwind of a life has taught me to live life joyfully, laugh often, never let an opportunity pass me by, and celebrate the little victories, like catching a commonly misused idiom that could easily have gone unnoticed. These days when I’m not immersed in a piece of writing, you’ll find me hiking, boating of any kind, or camping with my family (as far off the grid as you can get with two toddlers).
At True North Revisions, I bring patience, accuracy, and dependability to every project. I take the time to get it right, but I’m also a stickler for deadlines. I respect your time and the work you have already put into your project, so whether you’re working on a manuscript, marketing content, or a client-facing report, I’ll help make sure your message is clear, consistent, and as free from errors as possible.
Writing is a journey—and I’d love to help guide yours to its completion.
